188. William Knapp (c. 1579–1659)

William Knapp, thought to be about 80, died on 30 August 1659 in Watertown. [1, 1:21] He had an unknown first wife. He married second Priscilla, the widow of Thomas Akers after 1655. [2]

William Knapp (Knopp) probably arrived in New England in 1630 with Nicholas Knapp. [2]

He was a carpenter in Watertown. [2]

Children of William Knapp:

i. William Knapp died on 25 September 1676. [2] He married unknown Mary. [2]

ii. John Knapp was born in 1624. [2] He died between 22 January 1696, when he wrote his will, and 27 April 1696, when it was proved. [2] He married Sarah Young on 25 May 1660. [2]

iii. James Knapp was born in 1627. He married Elizabeth Warren.

iv. Mary Knapp married Thomas Smith. [2]

v. Judith Knapp married Nicholas Cady. [2]

vi. Anne Knapp Married THomas Philbrook. [2]

vii Elizabeth Knapp married Unknown Buttery. [2]
